Network Operations Center (NOC)

Digicon’s 24x7x365 NOC in Virginia maintains onsite engineers trained to respond to alarms, diagnose problems, and escalate issues for fast, effective response. Our NOC engineers keep a close watch over various systems in order to diagnose potential problems, before they cause costly downtime or poor performance.

 

We use various tools to proactively monitor our client’s infrastructure in order to avoid reactive troubleshooting. Digicon's team of engineers develops, evaluates, tests, and implements monitoring tools in our managed services solution environment. These tools utilize an integrated suite of best-of-breed applications to monitor the critical elements of any infrastructure including:

  • Network performance and availability

  • Server performance

  • Application performance and availability

  • Critical processes and services on the operating system

  • Log file monitoring and management

  • System health monitoring

Digicon’s monitoring services cover the regular polling of monitored elements for different operations. If early intervention is required, NOC engineers are alerted when an element exceeds a threshold. If a service fails, NOC engineers have the ability to repair or escalate their troubleshooting efforts according to the escalation plan in your customer operations procedures (COP) manual to determine what action needs to be performed.
